I just found out that professional women's soccer will be coming back in 2009 under the new league name Women's Professional Soccer (WPS). The WPS will take off where the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) left off in 2003 that league folded.
The seven team league will start play April 09. The closest team will be The St. Louis United.
